First of all, I would like to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Kung Hey Fat Choy, may the year of the snake brings happiness, love and health to all of you and your families.
Since this is the new year, Cel and I have decided is time to stop slacking (& going MIA) on our blog. Plus, she’s finally back in town- YEY!
Per the usual CNY traditional, the first day of the lunar new year is about visiting relatives & friends.. as well as days of continuous binge-eating of sweets, chocolates & chinese puddings. It is also a traditional to buy new clothes, we are talking about from inside out- i.e. underwear to the outer layer to shoes etc. However, since I’m currently under a strict shopping ban (more on that later) I’ve decided to limit myself to only one new item. SHOES. (yeah, yeah.. I’m so predictable)
Ahh.. my first pair of Roger Vivier flats. I've been thinking of buying these flats for awhile now- however quite a few of my ex-colleagues (yes, I recently resigned from my "finance" related job. Long story.) has been wearing these flats around the office, probably 2nd most popular black flats after Tory Burch's Reva flats in the building. I hesitated buying a pair of flats KNOWING that 1/3 of the ladies on the same floor probably owns a pair, however since these were on Sale (-20% off!) I decided to go try them on and see how comfortable they are compared to Ferragamo or Revas.

MNG Knit// korean branded leopard print jeans// RV flats
My conclusion? Definitely better than Reva by miles- the heel don't dig into my skin since it doesn't have an "elastic" back and I feel that the patent leather is "softer" on RV compared to Ferragamo's patent leather ballerinas. However, the price point is also different between the 3 brands- we are talking about $2xx USD for Reva, $3xx USD for Ferragamos & almost $5xx for RV. However, I feel that if you're going to be walking around all day- your feet really do deserve the best! My motto- splurge on shoes, bags & skincare!
